New name, corporate identity and customized website

Edumia is a trainer in the field of online marketing. Never heard of them? That's possible! Because not only is Edumia's custom website new, the name and corporate identity are also completely new. From now on, Douro Media will go by the name Edumia. We are happy to share the results of our creatives and developers!

The question from Edumia

Edumia trains professionals to become up-to-date online marketers. They are fully specialized in training in the field of online marketing , data driven , social media , customer experience , content and web design & development . The courses vary from one-day training to multi-day training.

 

The company, which was known as Douro Media for 10 years since its founding, has experienced significant growth in recent years and its offering has become broader. The name Douro Media therefore no longer fully covered it. A new company name was therefore desirable, together with a new contemporary logo that fits the phase the company is currently in. There was also a need for a new corporate identity and a new website.

Edumia about the reason

After 10 years of acting from Douro Media, it was also necessary to develop a new corporate identity and website in addition to the new name.

A website where you can register for a training course, sign up with the STAP budget, download a brochure or contact us. Of course, completely in line with the new corporate identity. The design of the website and the texts should tell a visitor at all times – and make them feel – what the value of Edumia is.

Our approach

Content creation

In the first phase, the new identity and corporate identity were developed. Choosing a new name for an existing renowned company is slightly different than for a newly established company. And that mainly has an impact on the owner of the company.

The process consisted of a number of phases, of which the name change certainly had the greatest impact. It remains special to suddenly receive various name proposals after 10 years from which to choose a possible new name. Fortunately, after much deliberation, a name was found that fits even better than our previous one and that embodies everything we stand for.

The new name Edumia is a combination of 'education' and 'utopia', where utopia refers to a perfect place and in combination with education means that the company is the ideal environment for learning and/or growth.

The story behind the logo? The first letter of the logo, the 'E', refers to the first letter of Edumia. The stack of books refers to learning/studying. The graph provides a link to the field of online marketing. The diamond shape on the letter 'i' symbolizes a diamond, which stands for powerful.

To achieve this result, we have interacted a lot with each other. The lines were short. A new name is not simply chosen and sometimes needs some time to 'land'. That 'landing' was successful and because Dennis eventually became so familiar with the new company name, the logo, corporate identity and website followed smoothly.

Web development

After the identity and corporate identity had been established, we started developing the new custom website. We developed a completely new custom website in Umbraco . The website can easily be maintained by Edumia using the open-source Umbraco CMS. The website contains links to Coachview and Springest for reviews.

Link with Coachview

The website is equipped with a link to Coachview . The planning of the training courses is managed within Coachview. This planning is visible on the website. When someone registers via the Edumia website, the registration is also immediately processed in Coachview. In this way, the entire administration surrounding training, including scheduling in calendars and invoicing, is automated.

The link reads the available courses and moments and automatically creates pages on the Edumia website. These pages can also be enriched with additional information from sources other than Coachview. The pages are kept up to date by synchronizing with Coachview several times a day.

Ultimately, it will save us a lot of time and make our appearance even more uniform towards each of the participants. Moreover, we can respond to the wishes of our participants and teachers, which allows us to further increase the experience with us as a trainer.

The result of this project is a true team effort! From copywriter, designer, developer to project manager, we as a team, together with the customer, have created something that we are proud of!

Edumia about the route

Throughout the entire process, I was confident that we could achieve a great end result.
It is nice that you also enjoy short and personal lines and that we have been able to regularly meet by telephone/digitally or physically to occasionally look at certain issues together. That was able to speed up the process and also meant that we achieved something beautiful 'together'. From now on it is nice to have a solid partner who can assist at any time where necessary. Both in the design and development part.

Fortunately, we remain involved with Edumia. We are working on translating the corporate identity into other marketing materials and on further professionalizing the website.
